Groningen has a beautiful and very tight city center that spans a square kilometer. During that week, it will already have a real music-vibe, because of Eurosonic/Noorderslag Music Conference and Showcase Festival. A multitude of bars, venues and restaurants can be found at no more than five minutes walking from the UnConvention Groningen venue.

What is Un-convention?
A series of music conferences aimed specifically at the grass roots of the industry, the goal of Un-convention is to bring together like minded individuals to discuss the future of Independent music.

From DIY labels, and self releasing bands, to promoters and agents, entrepreneurs and innovators, Un-convention is looking to the future of music, and how it will develop and flourish in the technological age.

We would have gone through with organising the first Dutch edition of Un-convention anyways, but life just got a little (actually, a lot) better! The Province of Groningen has decided to grant us a subsidy for organizing Un-Convention and bringing inspiration and knowledge to bands, managers, bookers, venues and agents.

What does this mean for you? Better accommodations, better speakers (we can now afford a few plane tickets), a printed program guide, and lots more that you weren’t aware you were going to miss

Having said that, Un-convention Groningen is a true grassroots event that is mainly powered by sheer will-power. If you want to add a donation of some sort to help us make this a truly fantastic event, please do not hesitate and drop us a note.

obviously, your band needs a website, and a proper one too. But there is plenty of stuff to think about when designing your band website. This usually is an intensive project, that requires a lot of your attention. And the mastery of a lot of technical skills that you might not posess.

But if you come prepared, the well-trained experts from Two Kings will focus 60 minutes of their time ad attention on your band, and build a complete band website from scratch for you. Which means that you’ll have more than enough time left to attend the rest of Un-convention.
